Summary:
When Jim London's best friend is murdered, Jim vows to catch the killer. Leaving it for the local police to solve is out of the question, because he suspects they're are involved.

Jim is more than capable of taking action if they are -- he's a werewolf. Realizing the only way to investigate the department is from the inside, he decides to go undercover -- as a police K-9.

His "handler" is lovely Faith Weston, the only person on the Clarkston Police Department who isn't up to her neck in murder . But Faith has no idea her "dog" Rambo is a werewolf, or that the department she serves is rotten with corruption.

But it doesn't take her long to figure it out.

Review:

Angela Knight does it every time with her Megaverse novels! A combination of action filled moments, evil versus good and enticing erotic sequences between the hero and heroin of the story. It makes me caught up in the world of vampires and Direkind as the series continues with this novel in the search of the Black Grail.

Faith Weston with her K-9 dog Rambo make it just a bit harder to transport drugs into Clarkston. She also notices something suspicious is going on within the police department that she just can’t figure out yet. One night she receives a call over the radio and when she drives to the place where, probably kids, are disturbing the area, her whole world turns upside down. Not only is her K-9 dog a well defined male but is she also bitten by a rogue Dire wolf, transforming her into one.

The story doesn’t give up its pace, Jim and Faith explore not only their bodies together, for Faith has gone into the Burning Moon, but also what Jim was set out to do in the first place….find the murderer of his best friend, Tony Shay. The various storylines are intriguingly woven into a beautiful tapestry as king Arthur with his knights and witches are joined by King Llyr and his wife Diana for the quest of the second Dark Grail. In the meantime there is one vampire bitch on a power rush wanting more, bringing the battle to the town of Clarkston ones more again.

Between all the violence for more power, Jim and Faith are submitted to another power….that of her Burning Moon. As Faith’s pheromones take a rollercoaster ride, it’s any men’s wet dream to have a woman like that. But Jim wants more….needs more! This fact gives the story even more sparkle when two strong personality’s clash, one saying: beg me….the other responds: bite me! You wander as a reader when and if the Spirit Link will be performed, merging both hearts and souls into one forever.

Then there’s the Megaverse world that doesn’t know of the existence of the Direkind for they are created by Merlin as a safe guard, may the Megaverse vampires choose to go over to the dark side they will come in and destroy the vampires.

Give me a paranormal world and you’ve got my interest, give me an arrogant and sensual man wielding his powers and you give me a devilish smile, give me an independent woman wanting to go her own way opposing the man and I’m looking forward to the sizzle. Give me Angela Knight and I’m temporarily unavailable!

With her Megaverse world she combines all I want in a paranormal book, story balanced with steamy passion and very interesting characters…..Angela Knight has a gift for storytelling at its best!
