Proud, rebellious Gideon is banished from the Light and sent to medieval Jerusalem. There, he must find redemption or Fall.Naomi works in secret, illuminating manuscripts for the Knights of St. John who have raised her. Her virtue is as great as her talent, but she yearns for something more. Her tenderness could save him, but only if she can resist the seductive allure of one born of shadows...

Archangels…..who could ever think Archangels could be so….dark,…. seductive,…. sensual,……so bad? Well they’re not but Rebel Angel’s are, casted from Heaven but not yet Fallen, they roam the earth in hope they will find redemption and light again. Cyndi Friberg definitely caught me by surprise with her world of Angels.

The story of Gideon and Naomi evokes a true sense of good versus evil. Of making mistakes and the path towards wisdom and forgiveness added with a sensual strength of love. Gideon is torn from Heaven as Michael gave him what he wanted, instead of an Angel Gideon is now something else. As he’s finds Gabriel in a monastery he also finds something that rises his sensual passion that beats in his groin, immediately screaming for release. But Naomi is just not that kind of woman, being raised by Gabriel she developed a talent that no one knows of. Their encounters are that of sizzling conversation of both word and body. But Gideon battles with the dark as much as with the light and then Naomi finds out things no mortal really knows…..only believes in.

The words created with such emotion it blazes through the reader making this one story to treasure. Every main character from Gabriel and Michael to Gideon and Naomi, are strengthened by compelling secondary characters. The love flows and thrives between Gideon and Naomi and its quest for the light to overcome the darkness is a joy to read with a magnificent battle in the end that shows the incredible, almost beautiful power the Archangels posses. In the end the reader in me was overwhelmed, for this was such a grant adventure of love!

Cyndi Friberg shows much promise as a writer with a refreshing look at the paranormal genre and hopefully her books will become available in paperback version, for nothing beats sitting on the couch with a pot of thee and such a novel as this one!
