A former blood slave, the vampire Zsadist still bears the scars from a past filled with suffering and humiliation. Renowned for his unquenchable fury and sinister deeds, he is a savage feared by humans and vampires alike. Anger is his only companion, and terror is his only passion—until he rescues a beautiful aristocrat from the evil Lessening Society.

Bella is instantly entranced by the seething power Zsadist possesses. But even as their desire for one another begins to overtake them both, Zsadist’s thirst for vengeance against Bella’s tormentors drives him to the brink of madness. Now, Bella must help her lover overcome the wounds of his tortured past, and find a future with her…

Will love conquer all? As the world of the Brotherhood is upside down two broken souls have a chance to become whole…..the question is, will they recognize this chance?

Can it get any better, I wander for this book knocked me off my feet again. This story is so fast paced with emotions that I couldn't tear myself away from it, but then again, what's new? Zhadist and Bella give you an incredible love story, with Phury's feelings it adds a bit more drama but also makes you wander what he's all about, as the history of Zhadist and Phury is told throughout the story.

J.R. Ward has a way to write about all human emotions and amplify it a dozen times. The story doesn't fade for one second as a lot of things are happening, John and his journey as a pre-transitioned vampire makes me hungry for more. The brothers each demand time within the book which makes you feel a part of their strong bond together. The lesser are as always a threat at the back ground but somehow J.R. Ward always manages to give the hero and heroin the center stage though a lot is going on around them.

At the ending of this book it made me want to dive right into the next one, as my patience will be stretched to the limit knowing I have to wait until March for there are open storylines that leaves me dying to know more…

With every page, every chapter, every book I'm drawn more into the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood!
