ROOB ARC Jennifer Estep – SPIDER’S BITE
Courtney Milan – PROOF BY SEDUCTION
Erica Hayes – SHADOWFAE
Lora Leigh – AIDEN’S CHARITY
Tina Donahue – DEEP, DARK, DELICIOUS.
There were two books that really made my January month and those were SPIDER’S BITE and SHADOWFAE. Both hold such different UF vibes, protagonists and supporting cast that I opened the book and was lost in a different world. Loved them both for it. If there is one thing I need to do right now is first read and then do everything else that comes with it and I’ve got a few top-notch reads coming to me in February that will get the job done, hopefully :)
I have a ROOB ARC of Shayla Black – DELICIOUS waiting on my e-reader.
I have Erica Hayes’ ARC of SHADOWGLASS on my shelves waiting to be read this month too :)
I have received Lora Leigh’s – NAUTI DECEPTIONS, Rogue piqued my interest from the first moment I met her and can’t wait to read her story.
February is also the release of Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Kiss, Singh always delivers for me and can’t wait to meet Raphael again!
And if there is one debut novel I am looking forward to then it is L.J. McDonald’s BATTLE SYLPH. She gives me a C.L. Wilson vibe all over again.
These are the releases/ARC’s I remember at the moment but of course my TBR pile has much of the good stuff too, like the series of Meljean Brook or Larissa Ione, Stephanie Tyler’s HARD TO HOLD – TOO HOT TO HOLD & HOLD ON TIGHT, or how about Joss Ware with BEYOND THE NIGHT, Jill Myles with GENTLEMEN PREFER SUCCUBI. I could go on for ages what is on my TBR pile, like any of you out there I guess. So I’m going to let my reading preference go wild and see where it takes me in February!

I recently read Butterfly Tattoo (the first book I read on my new eReader) and really enjoyed it. It was very thought provoking about the meaning of love and all the characters were very likable--including the child (and normally I dislike children in romance books). And yes, I too am looking forward to the next Palladin book. I've enjoyed the whole series very much thus far.
ReplyDeleteI have BUTTERFLY TATTOO on the iPhone to take with me on vacation!!! I too have heard great things about it!
ReplyDeleteAnd OHMIGOD!!! That Kim Lenox cover is fabulous!!!!! And the books in The Shadowguards series are amazing too! I soooo want to read Selene's story!!!!
Great haul this month, Leontine. Sorry that you didn't get to read more books!

Pearl
Leontine I lost my mojo a couple of weeks back...I was reading too many books at least one a day. I work full time, blog full time, and twitter full time. It was sad I wasn't enjoying what I was reading, I HAD TO DO SOMETHING STAT!
ReplyDeleteSo I scaled back a bit with reviews and started to read other genres, I'm loving historical gothic romance right now.
Should I light a candle for you?
Sorry for all the exclamation points. Went a bit overboard there. Can you feel my enthusiasm and my hyperness :)
ReplyDeleteFive books isn't bad! But if you think you lost your reading mojo I'll keep a look out for it. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Shadowglass too!
Wonderful books received! Enjoy them all.

I haven't read that much in January either (7 books which is about half of the amount I usually read), maybe it's just the month. And I'm suffering from too many ebooks on my reader I think - it makes it so hard to choose ;)
But you have some nice books listed, I bet a few of them can get you back into reading mode!
Hot covers btw :)
Call it holiday recovery! That is what it is... We partied too much and our reading suffered... HOW could that happen!

You are not alone hon. We will get back in the swing of things soon God willing. It's just the new year rush right! And with all those hot books you have listed there you won't be able to resist too long! ;)

You'll get your reading mojo back! That sort of thing is expected to come and go - I think it's called life, and if you've been suffering from migraines, that doesn't help! Hope you feel better soon.
