Show And Tell May: I'm on a reading binge and loving every moment of it!

I haven’t let you in on my monthly whereabouts and giving you a 2-1 deal with this blog post :) While April is a vague memory in my mind, May is a month I'll remember where I was receiving my first sunburn of the year, my first mammogram, which turned out to be clean YAY and having a whopper of a reading month. Let me tell you first what I read in April:

Stephanie Tyler – Hard To Hold 3,5 stars: I enjoyed this book, the characters and plot, but had to get used to certain elements. The brothers are incredible hero material and though I may not have been blown away I look forward to book two!

Lisa Valdez – Patience 4,5 stars: What can I say, Lisa Valdez nurtured the reader in me with a compelling, emotional and erotically hot story. I can’t wait for Primrose!

J.L Langley – The Broken H 3 stars: This is one of those easily readable stories where I was taken in to the life’s and loves of two very likable men. It was all nice but nothing really stood out for me, not in the very good or in the very bad ways.

Samantha Kane – The Courage To Love 3 stars: The rape angle is very poorly done IMO and took away credibility from the heroine. Other than that, I liked the two men who court her, their view on life and the eroticism.

Diana Gabaldon – The Outlander 5 stars: I really wonder if this series will ever get better then this novel. It was love at first sight for me with this couple and with baited breath I want to continue to immerse myself in the vast historic backdrop, the epic love and the mile-a-minute story telling.

Joey W Hill – A Vampire Queens Servant 4 stars: This author surprises me every time with scorching sexing, fabulous characters and a story that instantly appealed to me. Joey W Hill is a genuine ‘Leontine’s book addiction dealer‘ LOL

It became apparent that May would by a Paranormal rich month reading wise and I started with:

Erin Quinn – Haunting Warrior 4 stars: It was plot and romance that captures me true to Erin Quinn style, her prose swept me away!!

J.R Ward – Lover Mine 4 stars: Oh man, John Matthew, Xhex, Qhuinn and Blay, they were so good and reignited a flame for the BDB series! I’m actually re-reading it as we speak, I haven’t done that with a BDB novel since Lover Awakened.

Elisabeth Naughton – Marked 3,5 stars: The world is one I loved to explore but the romance didn’t blow me away :( Naughton does instantly ensnare you with world, plot and an easygoing writing style. A review is still in the works.

Kathryne Kennedy – The Fire Lord’s Lover: I’ve read this ARC for ROOB and this woman does it every time in delivering a world and story that just captivates me, I inhaled my Kathryne Kennedy fix to haul me over to her next release. Review to come end of June.

Jennifer Estep – Web Of Lies 4,5 stars: Gin Blanco, yeah, who hasn’t heard me cheering her on for my favorite heroine’s 2010 list? If you haven't, you’re hearing me now! I can’t get enough of what Jennifer Estep gives us in the Elemental Assassins series and I’m counting down for the release of VENOM.

Shiloh Walker – No Longer Mine 4 stars: This is an emotionally draining but so very realistic portrayal of two people who love each other but need to find a middle ground to connect and heal again so that love can flow towards each other again. Shiloh Walker is fast become another ‘Leontine’s book addiction dealer’.

Tere Michaels – Faith And Fidelity 4 stars: Wow, another M/M erotic romance with emotional depth that impressed me. A review will follow later this week!

Tere Michaels – Duty And Devotion 4 stars: After finishing F&F did you really expect me to read anything else then D&D? I needed my HEA fix for these two awesome men.

Sherrilyn Kenyon – Infinity 4 stars: Surprise, surprise, I actually read me a YA novel and was highly entertained and surprised!

Black Wade: I never graded this graphic novel but I was high quality M/M erotica with graphics that were mind blowing. Beware, my review contains adult erotic pictures not suited for peeps under 18!

Shannon McKenna – Extreme Danger 4,5 stars: Oh my, McKenna gave me all she is good at, great characters I got to love, great plot where I got to hate the villains and great sex that made me squirm in my seat! With the arrival of Kevin McCloud’s book it is one huge incentive for me to get going in this series.

Cameron Dane – Grey’s Awakening 3,5 stars: After reading the blurb of this book I just had to know about the men Greyson and Sirus. Opposites attract and I had a wonderful time reading their M/M erotic romance.

You see what an incredible May month I had, my jaw dropped when I saw the numbers. Since fall last year it has been around 5-6 perhaps 7 books but that is it! A whopping 12 books is getting back in to old reading territory for me and I’m eager for June to prove me an equal high-octane reading month.

Making my inner book-addict purr:

Last week I googled for fantasy genre info and I stumbled upon Ginn Hale and her books Lord Of The White Hell book one and two. I read the blurb and was instantly hooked to the contained promise of that blurb.

Lord Of The White Hell book one blurb:
Kiram Kir-Zaki may be considered a mechanist prodigy among his own people, but when he becomes the first Haldiim ever admitted to the prestigious Sagrada Academy, he is thrown into a world where power, superstition and swordplay outweigh even the most scholarly of achievements.
But when the intimidation from his Cadeleonian classmates turns bloody, Kiram unexpectedly finds himself befriended by Javier Tornesal, the leader of a group of cardsharps, duelists and lotharios who call themselves Hellions.

However Javier is a dangerous friend to have. Wielder of the White Hell and sole heir of a Dukedom, he is surrounded by rumors of forbidden seductions, murder and damnation. His enemies are many and any one of his secrets could not only end his life but Kiram's as well.

Blind Eye Books has a great deal; If you buy both books you get a 25% discount, can you guess? I pre-ordered both books, I'm a sucker when it comes to discount and books that are on the receiving end of my enthusiasm :)

Well, that about concludes my April/May month in my book realm :) Next week I have A Beefcake night coming up of Thomas Rodin (Amanda McIntyre) and a guestblog by Jessa Slade. Later this month I also have a guestblog with Book Chick City talking about my bookshelves. My big book move in pictures and the memories regarding certain books…keep an eye out at her blog!

Have a great Monday everyone!
